In February we had an engaging presentation by Randy Morton, owner of Pacific Piano. Randy's program talked about using the right replacement parts on Steinway pianos from different eras. Randy is an authority on the subject and has about as much experience as anyone in the world in matching the right parts to the various Steinway pianos.

In March several of our members attended WestPAC in Phoenix, AZ, and they had nothing but rave reviews.

Paul McCloud, from the San Diego Chapter, will be coming to our meeting in April. He will be going over how to evaluate polyester finish anomalies and how to repair them - everything from scratches to repairs on horizontal surfaces and vertical surfaces, where most damage occurs. Paul will cover how to build dams for the polyester using tape and plastic mylar sheet, mixing up some black polyester with color and hardener, and filling the dam and letting it cure. He will show how to properly sand or file it down, level the area and prepare for final polish. Discussions on which materials to use for polish, where to get the materials and buffing wheels, and what equipment might be used, i.e. buffing machines of various types will also be discussed. He will also address options when the finish is wood color and gets chipped, using regular lacquer techniques. There will be live demos of the various procedures. You don't want to miss this!

If you've ever thought about adding polyester finish repair to your business arsenal, there is no better time than now to come learn how! Paul is an expert in this area and this meeting is guaranteed to be filled with practical, useful, and productive knowledge!

See you there!
