No Meeting in November

Greetings to all Orange County Chapter members and to all readers of the PTG So Cal News Letter.

Last month our annual Tool Auction was a smashing success!!! We held it at a new location, on a new day and time. Technicians came from all over the southland to wheel and deal. And believe me, good deals were there to be had. Isaac drove his Dodge van, filled with a lifetime collection of goodies, all the way from Westlake. He had to stop for gas twice and was flagged into the weigh station on the way. Kathy Smith and David Vanderlip (the Vandersmith's) had cleaned out the shop at Long Beach State and were having a fire sale of mostly really good stuff. There were too many participants and contributors to name; but let's just say if you've ever held a hammer in your hand, it was the place to be. We had popcorn, goodies, and refreshments. The huge crowd of piano technicians had just about as much fun as you can on a Saturday afternoon - well at least in a church basement.

We thank all of those who attended for helping us put on a great event. We thank all who brought stuff to sell and those who helped in preparations. Most of all we thank the folks at the Episcopal Church of the Messiah for letting us use the spacious basement for the event.

There will be no meeting in November for the Orange County Chapter. Keep an eye on the Newsletter for an announcement of the next joint event coming in January.
