May Meeting: (2nd Monday)
Date: Monday, May 11, 2015
Time: 7:30 pm
Location: Shull Piano
25041 Redlands Blvd, Loma Linda, CA 92354

Our April meeting featured David Reed from Kawai America who gave a presentation titled "Grand Regulation Tips and Techniques." Rather than giving us yet another step-by-step formula for grand regulation, which many of us already have a pretty good handle on, David focused on sharing a multitude of tips and techniques for making the various regulation processes easier and faster. I think we all had several "aha" moments during his presentation. I know I did! Thank you, David, for a well-thought-out presentation!

The May meeting will be held at Shull Piano on Monday, May 11. Our guest presenter will be Edward Klein, RPT, of the Los Angeles Chapter. Edward will discuss the value of Internet marketing, describe the different types of online advertising available for piano technicians, and explain the benefits of having a highly effective website. He gave this Power Point presentation recently at West Pac V, where it was very well received.

Edward was trained at the North Bennet Street School in Boston in 1972. He has owned piano service businesses in Boston, Santa Clara, and Los Angeles. He is also co-owner of Websites with Ease (www.PianoTunerWebsites.com), which specializes in making websites for piano technicians. He enjoys teaching PTG members about effective marketing strategies in order to help them expand their businesses.

Looking ahead to June, we have yet another "can't afford to miss it" program planned. Isaac Sadigursky will be back, this time with a presentation on fast and efficient pitch raises. If it takes you longer than 15 to 20 minutes to perform a pitch raise, you need to attend this class!

With the PTG Convention being held in Denver this year (July 14 - 18), we hope that you are making plans now to attend! For all the information you need, and to register online, simply visit convention.ptg.org.
