No Meeting in July

Our June meeting featured the ever informative and entertaining Isaac Sadigursky who gave a program about fast and efficient pitch raising. He then demonstrated his technique on an old Chickering upright that was about a half step flat. I think we were all impressed that he completed the pitch raise in less than 15 minutes and didn't break any strings! His message to the rest of us was, "If I can do it, you can too." Thanks, Isaac! You've inspired me to step up the speed on my own pitch raises.

At the end of the meeting, our Council delegate, Roger Domeny, gave us an overview of the major items that will be discussed and voted on in this year's Council session which will take place July 13 & 14 in Denver. It sounds like this year's Council meeting will be an interesting one.

There will be no meeting in July due to the Annual PTG Convention. We hope to see many of you in Denver!

We are planning a social in August at Bill Shull's home in Loma Linda. A tentative date has been set for Saturday, August 8 at 6:00 pm. Please refer to next month's Newsletter and the chapter website for more information. In addition to normal summer revelry, Bill will have lots to share from his recent trip to China and his tour of the Hailun factory. We will also have a brief business meeting to elect officers for the new year.
