Greetings to all So. Cal. piano techs and readers of the PTG Southern California Newsletter.

In September we had a good turnout to hear about Randy Woltz's trip to Russia. Many of the attendees were guests from other chapters and visitors, so it was a very nice gathering. We had our first meeting at Robert Estrin's "Living Pianos." He has moved into a new spacious location on Main Street in Santa Ana, with a huge inventory of grand pianos. It was a great place to have a meeting, and I'm sure we'll be back.

Randy, just back from a trip to Russia to attend IAPBT (International Association of Piano Builders and Technicians), gave us a slide show and synopsis of the meeting/convention. The presentation included lots of pictures of Moscow and St. Petersburg. It sounds like Randy had a great trip with lots of memories and made a few new friends that will last forever.

It’s time for our Annual Tool Auction. Last year we moved the auction to a new location and decided to have it on a Saturday. It was a smashing success!!! This year we will be meeting in the basement of the Episcopal Church of the Messiah, located at 614 North Bush, Santa Ana 92701. If you wish to sell any items it is advised that you show up at 1:00 pm. The Auction will start at 2:00 pm and end at 5:00 pm.

The Church is just one short block off Main Street in Santa Ana. It is easy to find from either the 5 Fwy. (North or South), or the 22 Fwy. (East or West). Exit Main St. from either freeway, and head south toward the beach. Bush Street intersects Main in the downtown area, not too far from either Freeway.

Hope to see you there! Thanks again to Robert and Living Pianos for hosting our last meeting.
