No Meeting in December

Greetings to all Southern California piano technicians and readers of the PTG Southern California Newsletter.

Normally I would have a recap of last month's meeting but we did not meet in November since our normally scheduled meeting date fell during Thanksgiving week.

Our Annual Tool Auction on the last Saturday in October was a smashing success!! There was a massive turnout of piano technician types selling and buying at a record pace. Our thanks to Bob Jackman for serving as the voluntary Auctioneer and to David Stoneman and the Episcopal Church of the Messiah for allowing us to use the church basement. Most importantly, we would like to thank Paul Monroe, a long time member of the Orange County Chapter, for donating the proceeds from a life time collection of tools to our chapter. Paul is and always has been a classy guy, demonstrating the true spirit of the PTG. There were many others who donated money and time to make this event a success - far too many to name, but all contributed to our chapter. Good times and good deals were had by all. C ya next year!!

No meeting is scheduled for December as our meeting week always falls near the holiday. The South Bay Chapter will host a big holiday shindig at Kawai on December 13, and another combined meeting is on the schedule for January.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! On behalf of the Orange County board we wish you the very best.
