Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. We did not meet as a chapter in January, but some of us went to NAMM. The PTG display was stupendous this year, with items brought in from the home office Museum of Piano Technology, including tool kits and pianos from the turn of the century, a clavichord, French Souflette upright piano that opened like a book for ease of servicing, as well as the piano that was in the Ford Theater when Lincoln was shot. The piano community was on display full force, and the performance featuring 50 pianos on Saturday was awesome. We found out more about the roots of NAMM and the strong ties to manufacturers in the heyday of piano-making. Our thanks to Shawn Bruce for setting up this amazing NAMM experience.

The February program is entitled, "Essential Jigs and Tools That You Can't Buy," presented by Cecil Snyder and Mark Hullibarger. If you have any favorite jigs or tools that you would like to share, please bring them along. An online photo album has been compiled for users to access to reference the tools and jigs that will be used and discussed.
