Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Last month we had our Annual Tool Auction at the Episcopal Church of the Messiah in Santa Ana. It was a smashing success and good times were had by all. On behalf of the Orange County Chapter and technicians throughout the southland, we thank David Stoneman (our VP) and the folks at the Episcopal Church of the Messiah for helping us put on such a special event.
This month we will hear from Blaine Hebert, RPT. The topic of his program will be “Corrosion Resistant Treatment for Piano Strings.” This will be a review and sequel to an article published in the PTG Journal on experimental testing of different rust preventative measures for piano strings in corrosive environments. The results of these tests proved surprisingly counter intuitive and suggest that we should all be considering using treatments on piano strings to prolong their life.
Fields will be providing some snacks prior to the meeting.
