In October the South Bay Chapter met at Kawai and enjoyed a presentation from Bruce Stevens on Action Analysis. We had a hands-on discussion on the procedures needed to improve touch on a Steinway Model C, which proved to be quite educational. We look forward to continuing on in this multipart course.

In November, at the urging of some chapter members, Bruce Stevens will present another program on balance weight which he has titled, "Chapter 3 - The Process of Measuring and Establishing Balance Weight for the Grand Action." This program will be a hands-on opportunity to experience the "Steve Schell Split-Weight Balance Weight Measuring System." If you have a set of the Spurlock gram weights or the new WN&G gram weights, please bring it to the meeting so we have enough weights to go around. We will meet at Kawai America on the evening of November 13th, 7:00 pm for chapter meeting, 8:00 for the presentation. Pie will be served.
