SANTA BARBARA CHAPTER
No meeting in August
The Santa Barbara Chapter had four members in attendance at the national convention in Tucson where much was learned and a great time was had by all!
The Chapter met in July at the Piano Kitchen in Santa Barbara. We planned our annual chapter picnic, which takes the place of our August meeting, for September 7th at Foster Park in Ojai.
Our technical session included sharing agraffes with washers possibly as an unskilled repair, an encounter with tuning pins so low that the action could no longer be removed, and a Yamaha with a plate crack that still tuned up ok.
For our program, Ben Sanchez presented his experience at the Renner Academy, with emphasis on hammers, the manufacturing thereof, and voicing.
Again, we will not meet in August. Our chapter picnic will be September 7, and our next meeting will be Monday September 9. Location and program TBD.
