Our Upcoming Meeting: For those
of you wanting to brush up on your skills to prepare for the RPT Exams in the
near or distant future, you'll want to set aside some time to make it to the
Aural Tuning clinic under Ralph's instruction on February 7th. He has helped
many people succeed at clearing the exam!
Recent Chapter Activities - Wounded Warrior Battalion Piano Project: From Motel for Mice to a Functional Steinway - we took it apart, completely cleaned it, repaired its finish, polished it, regulated it and shaped the hammers. It was pretty amazing what about a half dozen techs could do in an afternoon - so stoked about this! So many tips and mini instructional things going on.
Awaiting word from the Marine Corps about when they can take delivery of the Steinway . . . more to come as we follow this piano to its new institutional home on Camp Pendleton at the Wounded Warrior Battalion.
