ORANGE COUNTY CHAPTER
May Meeting: (4th Monday)
Date: Monday May 25, 2020
Time: 7:00 pm
Location: Virtual meeting via the Zoom software
Hopefully everyone is staying well. This month Don Mannino will be presenting “Full Service of Fine Grand Pianos,” a discussion about the benefits of doing 'full service' appointments for your better grand piano customers, with details about the steps Kawai technicians take when servicing Shigeru Kawai pianos.
Don will be hosting the Zoom meeting from his home, so please download and install the Zoom software and make sure it is working before the meeting time. You will need to be signed in to Zoom using a Zoom account before you can join the meeting. Once you are logged into Zoom, connect to the meeting one of 2 ways:
1. Click this web link (or enter it into your web browser):

2. Select “Join Meeting” in your Zoom app, then enter the meeting ID:

Some tips once the session is connected:
- The meeting will start with
everyone's audio muted. Don will see your name as you sign in to the meeting.
You can turn your camera and microphone on or off at any time during the
meeting.
- Don will be asking attendees to keep the microphone muted except
when you need to ask a question. During a meeting the mute button is in the
bottom left of your Zoom app window.
- Don will be wearing an earpiece
throughout and will be able to hear everyone who speaks up. Feel free to speak
up and get his attention along the way, just as you would if you were in a
normal seminar - everyone will be able to hear your question.
- After your
question, it is helpful if you mute your microphone again so that background
sounds at your location don't disturb everyone who is attending. Barking dogs
and seminars do not mix well!

FREE PIANOS! Do you have free time on your hands during the pandemic? Do you recall our recent classes with Isaac Sadigursky, in which he told us, "Don't ever let pianos get thrown out until you've stripped off all the parts you can use - some of them aren't available any more!" Or maybe you want to work on a piano for practice or to improve it where possible?
The following pianos have a date with the dump unless anyone wants them. Just get your pianos picked up before June 15 or they will be thrown away. Call Randy Cox at 714-404-2635 and tell him the moving arrangements. Pianos can be picked up from Randy's home in Anaheim Hills.
