The Santa Barbara Chapter has been meeting online via Zoom since March. These have been well-attended and more brief than in-person meetings, by their nature.
Our October meeting was without formal program, but we enjoyed a full technical discussion covering such topics as curious low-humidity findings, review of a technician seminar attended by one of our members, troubleshooting various issues we'd encountered in the field, voicing tips and techniques for chronically hard hammers, strategies and solutions for freeing up sluggish action centers, and tuning tests appropriate for various temperaments and registers.
Our next Zoom meeting will be Monday, November 9th at 7:00 pm. Our program will be on shank repair and hammer shaping.
