Greetings South Bay Chapter PTG!
Well, the holiday times are upon us, and the busy season has begun. This past month we enjoyed a joint chapter meeting with Sally Phillips where she discussed her methods of tuning and preparing the piano, including among other topics hammer filing, string leveling and hammer fitting. Our thanks to the LA Chapter for bringing this meeting to fruition, and thank you, Sally!
This month, for November, we will have a Zoom meeting to discuss chapter business; and a technical presentation will be given. One exciting element we will be integrating into our meetings is "5 minutes on 1 thing you know." We are asking you, the reader, to discuss 1 thing you know about extremely well, whether it is how to splice a string, repair a shank, or tell about your favorite coffee/lunch spot when in a certain part of town. We will surely have a handful of useful anecdotes and skills to add to our repertoire. See you online! This is the zoom link for our next meeting.
