SANTA BARBARA CHAPTER
The Santa Barbara Chapter met in November via Zoom. We did not have a program planned, but our technical discussion ranged from various ways to hunt down mysterious squeaks, to the properties of flange cord replacement materials to dealing with the management staff of VIP customers when customers themselves are not as finicky as their staff are.
We recommitted ourselves to making in-person meetings work because we all agree that hands-on practice and instruction is important to developing the skills of our less experienced members. We have traditionally done a holiday social gathering in December instead of a meeting, but as that seems challenging or ill-advised, we may opt to simply have a meeting, with the probable topic being setting an aural temperament. We may opt to do a social gathering outdoors in the spring.
