This month's meeting will be held at the Steinway Showroom in Beverly Hills on Monday, September 19th at 7:00 p.m. The address is 8801 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90211. There is metered street parking in effect until 8 pm.
Daniel DeBiasio and Glen Bingham will go over the design and adjustment of the Steinway keyframe. This will include keyframe bedding, keyblock adjustments for both the new and old style Steinway keyblocks, and proper techniques for removing the Steinway keylid.
Glen Bingham: As chief piano technician for the music technology division, Glen was integral in the development, manufacturing, and technical support of Steinway Spirio. He now manages the national service operations for Steinway's fifteen factory-owned retail showrooms.
Daniel DeBiasio: A Registered Piano Technician with a background working for Steinway Hall and the Concert & Artist department, Daniel is now the Administrator of Technical Education and Support for Steinway & Sons where he oversees and conducts the Steinway Technical Academy.
