Los Angeles Chapter
No Meeting in August
The Los Angeles Chapter hosted a Zoom call a few weeks ago discussing some of the potential changes proposed via RFAs to the guild. LA Chapter members at the convention in Arlington this past week have seen some encouraging signs for the organization: new leadership, reports of higher levels of volunteer engagement, and a good-sized number of first-time convention attendees.
Our chapter will take a summer break from meetings for August. Enjoy the rest of the summer before the fall work rush begins.
To kick off Fall, in September we look forward to hearing from Michael Jurewicz, Director of Technical Services for Faust Harrison Pianos. Michael will give a presentation on voicing the Bechstein Hammers, hosted at the Santa Monica location of Faust Harrison. More details to come.
