Last month we had a small turnout for a very interesting program. Steven Norsworthy, inventor, engineer, and musician, gave us a presentation showcasing his new invention - an electronic sensor called PianoSens that can be used with any tuning device on the market.
Without trying to explain in detail, there is a demonstration of this product on Steve’s website, PianoSens.com. Basically, PianoSens helps tune perfect unisons even under the most demanding conditions.
In February we will have Ryan Ellison from Yamaha give us a talk on Yamaha Disklavier and Transacoustic pianos. Ryan has compiled repair/diagnostic procedures for these pianos. It can help to know a little about player technology from a major manufacturer.
We are hoping to get a better turnout this month! Maybe the weather helped
people to decide to stay home last month.
