A big thank you to Maria Pollock, RPT, and current RVP for the Central East Region of the Guild. Maria joined us via Zoom from her home in Chicago on what turned out to be a very rainy night in Los Angeles. Her information and advice on voicing was broad and provided an excellent overview of the subject for newer technicians. She also offered good reminders of different techniques and processes for more advanced technicians, reminding us of so many possible approaches to achieving the tone we desire when we set out to voice hammers.
In March we will be treated to an evening with our very own Brad Fant, RPT. Brad will be presenting a program entitled, "Operating Your Piano Business - Tips and Tricks for the Piano Technician Business Owner."
The program will touch on an array of business strategies, customer relations and the customer experience, organizing and optimizing your business, opportunity costs, marketing, pricing, and more.
Brad comes with enviable business sense, and we will all surely leave with several great ideas for a more organized approach to arranging our own work and livelihood.
Our meeting will be held on Monday, March 18th. Mix and mingle starting at 6:30 pm with a bite of food, and then the presentation will begin at 7:00 pm. We will meet at the Faust Harrison shop located at 14726 Oxnard St., Van Nuys, CA 91411. See you there
