Los Angeles Chapter

September Meeting:
Date: TBA
Time: 6:30 pm-Food
7:00 pm-Program
Location: TBA

Word is that it was a wonderful evening at David and Kathy's in August. Yours truly had to be absent, only because I was out of state visiting my mother, or otherwise I would have never missed free tacos and a chance to hang out with fellow technicians. Thanks again to David and Kathy for hosting!

In September, the Los Angeles Chapter will kick off our fall meetings with a presentation by Robert Cope entitled "All Together Now!" - Creating Beautiful and Resilient Unisons.

As in real estate, "location, location, location!" so in pianos, "unisons, unisons, unisons!" We will talk about the challenges of setting a good unison, that most important interval. We will discuss techniques and things to consider when we face the thorny challenges involved in turning 3 into 1.

This will very much be a participatory class. Bring your tuning lever and bring a good set of ears. We will be hands-on, listening and evaluating unisons as a group. And to end the evening we will have a game, dividing into two teams to battle it out in the challenge to leave the finest unisons possible.

As usual, come for food and fellowship at 6:30, and the class will begin at 7 PM.

We are still deciding on a location for the meeting, but as usual, we will send an email within the next week once we have locked down our spot for the evening.

We look forward to getting together with all of you and kicking off the fall season!
