Thank you to South Bay Chapter for organizing a night with Fred Sturm, which
a few of us were able to join via Zoom in November, with his enlightening
discussion of temperaments, detailing a plethora of historical models.
Challenging and engaging material, and always good for us to deepen our
knowledge of how we arrived at today's equal temperament, after we humans seem
to have tried nearly everything else.
In December the Los Angeles Chapter
will hold our traditional Holiday Party. Once again we have the pleasure of
being hosted by Franco Skilan at his shop, Precision Piano Services. We want to
extend a special invitation to PTG members across all of the Southern California
chapters to come and join us, if your schedule permits, for a night of great
food, live music, and a chance to gather and review another year of our work
servicing the pianos of greater Los Angeles.
We will get together on
Monday evening, December 9th, from 5 to 9 pm. The address is 10426 W. Magnolia
Blvd., North Hollywood, CA, 91601.
As we did last year, this will be
