Hello San Diego Chapter members!
Last month we had a great session on aural tuning with a master class led by Ralph Miyashiro, RPT. Many thanks to Greene Music for hosting the event, to those who participated, and with great appreciation to Ralph for the expert instruction.
This month we will be back in our Brian Janey's workshop in Fallbrook for a deep dive into the topic of piano cleaning. Here is the description from Brian:
For February 8th I decided to not only go over the topic of piano cleaning
during an appointment but also go over what to do when you find yourself in
front of a piano that has been a hotel for mice (just had an encounter with a
piano like that today) as well as an overview of what is involved in taking care
of a piano that has been in a fire and has smoke and soot damage. This will pair
well with Paul's discussion and demo of finish touch up that will follow. We'll
have the usual meal together on that Saturday too.
