Last month our program, “Action Regulation as Seen Through Letoff Timing and Aftertouch,” was presented by RPT Dan Reed, who worked full-time in the greater Dallas TX area for 45 years before semi-retiring in Temecula, CA. Dan addressed what he considers the most important factors in action regulation, then demonstrated and gave members the opportunity to work with 4-note action models built just for this program. A thorough discussion was had, and we all were grateful for Dan's stellar presentation. Dan left the four action models for us to continue studying.

We will also be considering nominees for office for this coming year. The nominating committee has been at work and has proposed Bill Shull for president, Josh Tonyan as vice president, with the assistance of John Piesik. Additional nominations for the board will be presented in the meeting, and additional volunteers will be needed to serve on the board of trustees. Be prepared to offer additional nominees for any of the positions this coming meeting.
Our secretary/treasurer, Eric Rose, has extensively reworked our chapter constitution and bylaws and made proposals recently at a planned meeting of the executive committee. You have received these by email for consideration at the upcoming meeting. This is notice that these proposals and any other amendments that you may wish to consider maybe voted on at this upcoming meeting, for a final vote at the June meeting. This includes the first increase of chapter dues in nearly 15 years and many other very thoughtful amendments which the committee recommends. Please look over the proposals prior to the meeting.
