In June we had our annual elections. Bill Shull was elected chapter President, Josh Tonyan Vice President, John Piesik Trustee, and Eric Mrozek remains Secretary and Treasurer, while Paul Rea continues as Trustee for the second year of a three-year term. We also approved a proposal updating our constitution and bylaws. A big thank you to those who attended that meeting, giving us sufficient attendance to move forward with the voting.
In July we had several members attend the annual convention in Des Moines. What a friendly city! There was wide array of very interesting classes as usual. Thank you to all of the instructors for preparing those classes. Congratulations to all of the newly elected officers, especially to Lisa Weller for being willing to serve another year as our Regioanl VP. And congratulations to Bruce Stevens, from our neighboring South Bay Chapter, on receiving this year's Golden Hammer Award. In addition, congratulations to former chapter member Jonathan Shull on achieving RPT. Next year's convention will be in Arlington again, July 22-25, 2026.
In August let's plan to attend the gathering at the Vanderlip-Smith home in Anaheim, in lieu of our usual monthly chapter meeting. Check the Orange County Chapter section of this Newsletter for more details. See you there!
