For August we will be having a meeting on our usual schedule! It is very important for chapter members who attended the annual PTG convention in Des Moines to attend because we will be sharing things we learned at the convention with those who couldn't be there. Over 500 technicians attended the convention, and it was really an incredible event with an excellent line up of tech seminars.
So, those who were in Des Moines, please think of one thing that lit a lightbulb in your brain from the convention! Whether it was something in an exhibit booth, a technical class that really gave you some ideas you can use, or just a conversation with another technician at break time. Tell us all about it!
Also: We would like to put together a slide show of pictures you took at the convention! There are 2 ways to submit your pictures:
- Email them to Don Mannino at
KawaiDon@live.com by Monday, August 11th
- Bring them to the meeting on a USB memory stick
Don will set up the screen and we can all enjoy the pictures, whether candid shots of events (Carl's annual haircut by Ricki Kloss maybe?), seminar teachers in action, exhibit booths, or one of the special events/concerts that took place. Bring them and share them!
Finally, Bruce Stevens has promised to bring his beautiful Golden Hammer Award to the meeting to let us bask in the glow of this special honor!
This will be a fun one, folks! Come see some sights from Des Moines and hear some shared wisdom picked up at the convention.
