We did not meet in July because of the convention, which was fantastic with a large turnout. The exhibit hall was bigger this year - lots to see and touch!
Many came to the annual backyard party at the Vandersmiths’ in Anaheim. It's always great to see everyone, including a number of young people just getting started. Good food and fellowship!
For our September meeting we will be at Piano Empire in the Buena Park Mall. We are especially excited to have Kathy Smith and David Vanderlip as our presenters. There will be a whole lot to talk about including a batch of mini technicals from past years, possibly a quick overview of the current PTG exams, prep programs, new times and rules, etc. Kathy might also show her agraffe replacement kits. She also has a lid removal kit she put together for venues and a show and tell of small wire replacement kits.
This meeting is open to ALL chapters, especially new members. We call it the Vandersmith Variety Show! There will be food and drinks. (This is just a continuation of the backyard party with a technical side.)
Join us at the beautiful Piano Empire Store in the mall, starting at 6:00 pm. The mall is located at the corner of La Palma and Stanton, across from Knott’s Berry Farm. The store is at the back of the mall, closest to the movie theater. (They even have a large piano bar that we might be able to use!)
