POMONA VALLEY CHAPTER

September Meeting (2nd Tuesday)
Date: Tuesday, September 8, 2020
Time: 7:00 pm (Pacific Time)
Location: Your device/Zoom

Hello all! I hope you and your families are doing well through these trying times!

The Pomona Valley and South Bay chapters will be joining forces this month for a Zoom meeting on September 8 which will allow us to evaluate the last few months and realize what we've come through. We are dealing with fear of the COVID-19 virus, the rules put into place, and all the new challenges we must endure while trying to maintain our customers' pianos but keep our customers and ourselves safe.

Our Zoom gathering is an opportunity to recognize the difficulties we've been dealing with, see the value in our little PTG group and the organization at large and appreciate our many collegial friendships developed over the years. We missed our convention and local summertime gatherings. Now is the time to renew ourselves and our goals at this meeting and look forward to the good we can do and the business we can rebuild.

This month's program will feature Paul Rea, Director of Product Development & Quality Control for Hailun, Sauter & Petrof. He applies his knowledge of quality and production while dedicating nine months out of the year working in the factory directing all aspects "from birth to box!" A European, Asian, and US factory trained technician, Paul says that with 39 plus years in the music industry, "there is nothing I can't do to a piano, and if there is… I know someone who can." As a certified Piano Disc and QRS player system installer/technician, and quite proficient at touch up and repair of polyester and conventional finishes, Paul has "sat in every seat in the house" from bookkeeping, salesman, store manager, technician, factory tech, as well as owning a retail store with his parents. Paul also owned a successful tuning, rebuilding, refinishing and piano moving company for over 25 years.

Paul will teach us about "The Simple Shop" - how to organize a whole action shop in a 9' 6" x 9' 6" area. The South Bay Chapter will be joining in on Zoom. Check the South Bay Chapter section for information on joining the Zoom meeting.
